An oldham clutch is primarily used to pick up the wobble in the z-screw, but another big benefit is that it disengages if the nozzle goes into the heat bed. So in hindsight, I regret that I did not print one like this before I started experimenting with automatic bed leveling, because then you remove the end position switch is removed for z-axis, and you get any problem with the bed leveling then the engine presses down the nozzle in to the bed until the engine stall or something breaks down (I learn this the hard way).
