Earth4Energy: awesome product or big scam?
on Nov 24 in Lowes DIY
If there was ever a time to enter the race towards green energy, this is it! Besides the obvious ecological reasons, there are now immediate benefits offered by government (such as tax deductions) for anyone who starts taking action to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels. Regardless, solar panels and wind turbines can still get quite expensive… I’m talking thousands of dollars expensive! If you don’t have that kind of money to spend, you’ll be happy to know there are alternatives which are substantially less expensive: such as building your own DIY solar panel.
Setting up a fully functional solar panel on your own can be done with just a few hundred bucks – as opposed to several thousand. It’s actually not too difficult, provided you have the know-how… or at least a good guide that teaches all the necessary steps. If you’ve been looking for such a guide, you might want to check out the Earth4Energy review. This is a wildly popular digital guide that teaches everything you need to know to actually build your own solar panel. It includes detailed diagrams, extensive instructions, and even step-by-step videos. If there was ever a fool-proof guide to homemade solar panels, that’s Earth4Energy. Or at least that’s what the author proclaims in the sales page… but is it true?
Well, yes and no. I’ve reviewed this product back to back along with two friends: a school teacher and an engineer, both of whom are green energy enthusiasts. The results actually conformed to my expectations: the engineer disdained this product for being shallow and simplistic, and the teacher was over-excited with the thought of building a solar panel, and he said he was completely amazed with the level of detail contained in Earth4Energy. So, which one of my friends is right?
Actually, I think both of them are right. For someone with zero knowledge in building solar panels, this is a wonderful product! Kind of like a DIY solar panel for dummies. It features all the information someone needs to get started and see a fully functional solar panel to completion. Conversely, for someone who already has a basic understanding of how it’s done, Earth4Energy may come across as redundant.
To make a long story short, this is a great product for amateur-to-intermediate green energy hobbyists, for for someone with advanced knowledge it may come across as a scam. If you want more details, check my review for the lowdown!
