A Woodworking Download – If it isn’t Going to Help, Don’t Buy It!

So you are looking for a woodworking download?  If you’re reading this, chances are you are looking to build something, right?  Now it could be any number of things -

• Wooden Table
• Wooden Shelves
• Chairs
• Cabinets

and so on…

A woodworking download can help you build any number of things including what I listed above.  Now just because it’s advertised as a “woodworking download” though, that doesn’t mean that it actually will make your life easier.

Here’s what you SHOULD expect from a woodworking download -

1.  It should have pictures!

Pictures with a woodworking download can make life so much easier!  I myself have found success when building things when I can visualize what I am doing.  Any good woodworking guide should have pictures to guide you along.

2.  The diagrams and instructions should be very specific meaning they don’t leave anything up to chance.

They should almost be presented as though you have never touched a piece of wood in your life!

3.  They need to put your mind at ease about doing the project.

Really what I am saying is that the guide should be presented in a way that is going to make you comfortable as well confident that you are going to accomplish whatever build you chose to take on!

My though on woodworking download is this – if it is not going to make my life easier, then I am just not going to use it!  Bottom line!

There needs to be a clear benefit to me using a woodworking download otherwise what is the point of buying it?  I obviously need help with building something so it better work!

An instructional guide is intended for those that do not know to learn STEP BY STEP how to build anything they want!  If you are looking at a download and you are not comfortable with it, then I would have to recommend that you just don’t buy it.  

Use your instinct!  If you do not feel as though you are not going to get your money’s worth, then it is probably a bad purchase.

Bottom line -

A guide should make your life and your project easier.  If a download does not do that for you, then you are looking at the wrong one!
